How To Lodge A Complaint
Sometimes, for some reasons, you get into dispute with your agent. Here is how you can lodge a complaint.
There are two ways to bring your case to the attention of :
Consumer Tribunal in Kuala Lumpur or nearest state.
MOTAC ( the MM2H governing authority ).
The Consumer Tribunal
If the dispute is less than MYR50,000 You may lodge your complaint directly to the consumer tribunal in Kuala Lumpur. Your cost is merely MYR5.0 per lodgement.
The good thing about tribunal is that it is simple and straight forwards. Both parties, namely the claimant and the defendant are not allow to engage lawyer during the proceeding. Both parties have to debate their case before the President of the Tribunal. Isn’t it fun ?

2. Ministry of Tourism, Art and Culture ( MOTAC )
Before you lodge your complaint to the tribunal, remember you have the following documents ready ( as complete as possible ).
Your agreement with the other party. Both parties must sign the document.
A copy of the invoice. If possible, the invoice must be in detail breakdown of all cost / charges.
A copy of the agency company registration ( SSM in short ).
Contact detail of the agent / the company so that the Tribunal can send notice to the dependence.
