S-MM2H β Sarawak My Second Home Programme
A long-stay visa pathway for foreigners who want to retire or live in Sarawak, Malaysia β administered independently by the Sarawak state government (MTCP) with its own eligibility criteria, fixed deposit requirements, and application process, separate from Peninsular Malaysia's MM2H.
S-MM2H (Sarawak-MM2H, also written SMM2H) is Sarawak's own long-term social visit pass programme for foreign retirees and long-stay residents, run by the Ministry of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Sarawak (MTCP Sarawak) β distinct from the federal MM2H programme and from S-MM2H's Sabah counterpart, SBH-MM2H. Below we've organised the official eligibility rules, fixed deposit and income requirements, and full document checklist into clear sections so you can see exactly what a Sarawak MM2H application involves.
Take note before you apply
- You must travel to Sarawak twice β once during application submission, and once again for visa endorsement after approval.
- Insurance, medical check-up, and your Fixed Deposit account must all be arranged inside Sarawak before lodging your application.
- After the 10-year term ends, the programme does not renew automatically β you must reapply from scratch with a fresh set of documents.
