IMPORTANT NOTE ！
Sabah MM2H can ONLY reside in SABAH. Travelling to Peninsular states will NEED APPROVAL from Sabah Immigration. Such application will be facilitated by Immigration (simple application and quick approval – same day approval).
Applicants can bring maids based on current practice.
Selling of property is NOT ALLOWED for 10 years. However, the house can be sold after 5 years with a new purchase of a value equivalent to the minimum as specified above or higher.
Sabah, "Land Below the Wind" is a nickname for the Malaysian state of Sabah, located on the island of Borneo. It is called this because its position south of the East Asian typhoon belt spares it from direct typhoon impacts. The phrase was also used as the title for a classic book by Agnes Newton Keith about life in the region during the 1930s.
Sabah has its own autonomy on immigration & border control and thus has it own MM2H program which often called Sabah-MM2H. It is very different from Malaysia My Second Home Home Program MM2H (West Malaysia or the Peninsular Malaysia ) and also S-MM2H of Sarawak.

Similar to MM2H, Sabah-MM2H also has three categories, namely Silver, Gold and Platinum Program.
GENERAL REQUIREMENT for all three programs ( Silver / Gold / Platinum ) as listed below :
1. WHO CAN APPLY
Open to individuals from countries that have diplomatic relations with Malaysia EXCEPT Israel, Nigeria and Bangladesh.
2. AGE REQUIREMENT
Applicants must be at least 25 years of age.
3. MEDICAL INSURANCE : Required
4. MINIMUM LENGTH OF STAY
Minimum cumulative stay period of 30 days per year in Sabah
5. CHANGE OF PRINCIPAL
In the event of death of the principal, the Sabah MM2H Pass of the deceased is transferable to the spouse until the end of the program. 5+5 years ( Silver ), 15 years ( Gold ), 20 years ( Platinum ).
6. DEPENDENTS
Spouse (husband/wife), parents, parents in-laws and children*.
Age of children
-Below 21 years old or still a full time student without any form of employment.
7. EXISTING MM2H HOLDERS
MM2H pass will indicate SABAH only. All existing holders of MM2H in Sabah to ONLY reside in SABAH.
Sabah MM2H can only reside in Sabah.
Renewal will be approved based on previous criteria.
SILVER CATEGORY ( SABAH-MM2H )
PROCESSING FEE (ONE-OFF)
RM3,000 for every application (non-refundable). RM1,500 for subsequent renewal.
PROOF OF MONTHLY INCOME
Single applicant: RM10,000 per month
Applicant with dependent(s): RM15,000 per month
SABAH-MM2H PASS
Multiple Entry Visa (MEV) for principal and dependents for a period of 5+ 5 years.
Renewable.
FINANCIAL REQUIREMENTS
RM 500,000.00 Fixed Deposit (FD) to be placed in any SABAH-MM2H Panel of Banks in Sabah.
Maximum withdrawal of 50% is allowed on the principal FD value after 1 year of participation in the program for the purposes of purchasing a residence, education and medical activities in Malaysia.
CAREER OPPORTUNITIES
Not allowed. The relevant pass must be requested.
PURCHASE OF RESIDENCE
All applicants must purchase and own a high rise property in Sabah after obtaining the approval as SABAH-MM2H participant with minimum purchase price of RM600,000.
GOLD CATEGORY ( SABAH-MM2H )
PROCESSING FEE (ONE-OFF)
RM3,000 for every application (non-refundable). RM1,500 for subsequent renewal.
CAREER OPPORTUNITIES
Not allowed. The relevant pass must be requested.
PURCHASE OF RESIDENCE
All applicants must purchase and own a residence in Sabah after obtaining the approval as SABAH-MM2H participant with minimum purchase price of RM 1,000,000.00.
FINANCIAL REQUIREMENTS
USD 500,000.00 Fixed Deposit (FD) to be placed in any SABAH-MM2H Panel of Banks in Sabah.

RM200,000.00 for every application (non-refundable). RM1,500 for subsequent renewal.

All applicants must purchase and own a residence in Sabah after obtaining the approval as SABAH-MM2H participant with minimum purchase price of RM 2,000,000.00
